QUARTZ-POWDER

QUARTZ-POWDER

We are leading manufacturer of Quartz Powder - Quartz is the most abundant and common mineral found in the earth, which is composed of silicon dioxide, or silica, SiO2. It is an essential component of igneous and metamorphic rocks. Quartz is available in different forms such as grains, powder form. Quartz powder of different grades is available, such as industrial quartz, quartz clumps, quartz granules, quartz powder, quartz granules, quality quartz and color quartz. Quartz is an essential mineral that is used in ceramics and paints, wall coverings, glass industries.

We manufacture, supply and export a wide range of quartz powder. These are processed using standard raw materials, which comes from our own mines. We bring optimum reinforcements of silica quartz powder to meet the needs of customers. These are appreciated for the characteristics such as optimal utility, reliability and durability. We offer them at reasonable prices according to the client’s budget. We manufacture silica powder with purity higher than 98.50% Sio 2.

We also manufacture, Quartz powder used in manufacturing of gypsum boards, Cement sheets and many more different applications. The most beneficial quality about this quartz powder is it is very cost effective and can be used to reduce cost to a great extent.

Uses of Quartz/Silica Powder:

  • Glass
  • Paints
  • Ceramics
  • Refractories
  • Linoleum Flooring
  • Rubber
  • Plastics
  • Welding electrodes

Potash, Sodium Feldspar for Ceramics: Feldspar does not have a strict melting point, since it melts gradually over a range of temperatures. This greatly facilitates the melting of quartz and clays and, through appropriate mixing, allows modulations of this important step of ceramic making. Feldspars are used as fluxing agents to form a glassy phase at low temperatures and as a source of alkalis and alumina in glazes. They improve the strength, toughness, and durability of the ceramic body, and cement the crystalline phase of other ingredients, softening, melting and wetting other batch constituents. Potash Feldspar is treated an important ingredient of high-tension insulators. Potash and Sodium feldspar fillers are also are used as fillers and extenders in applications such as paints, plastics and rubber. Beneficial properties of feldspars include good dispensability, high chemical inertness, stable pH, high resistance to abrasion, low viscosity at high filler loading, interesting refractive index and resistance to frosting. The products used in such applications are generally fine-milled grades.

Enamel frits and glazes: Feldspar assists the enamel composition, assuring the absence of defects and the neatness of the end product: e.g., enamel frits, ceramic glazes, ceramic tile glazes, sanitary ware, tableware, electrical porcelain and giftware.

Potash feldspar find applications in paint, mild abrasives, urethane, welding electrodes (production of steel), latex foam, the welding rod coating, & road aggregate.

Applications of quartz are follows: Quartz Powder is very useful in the glass manufacturing industries to make the glass transparent and its powder is also very useful for the manufacture of paints for wall coverings and for many industrial uses. It is composed of a continuous framework of SiO4 silicon-tetrahedral oxygen, with each oxygen shared between two tetrahedrons, giving a general formula of SiO2. Milky quartz crystals may have a waxy shine instead of a vitreous and even be opaque. There may be minor impurities such as lithium, sodium, potassium and titanium. The main use of white quartz is used in many fine ornamental carvings, as well as in more affordable jewellery, ceramic tile industry, glass industry, steel/ferroalloy, abrasive industry. Today, quartz is used mainly in the glass industries.
